ORDINANCE/RESOLUTION CAPTION:
Approval of contract with Alta Planning and Design for Comprehensive review and update of development-related ordinances
BACKGROUND SUMMARY:
City staff seeks expert support in reviewing and updating current zoning and related development ordinances in order to ensure that the City is competitive in retaining and recruiting new businesses and abiding by best practices in planning and economic development efforts.
IMPACT IF DENIED:
We will have to go through the formal proposal process again.
IMPACT IF APPROVED:
We will execute contract and begin the project and examining our current ordinances. The project is projected to be completed within 5 months of its start date.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Examining the City's current ordinances and amending where necessary would greatly support our economic development efforts.
