| BACKGROUND SUMMARY: | | The Hartsville Fire Department currently conducts fire extinguisher safety training to schools, local businesses including Sonoco, and local groups. The department wishes to use grant funds to purchase a fire extinguisher made specifically for training purposes. Because the extinguisher uses laser technology, the training are safer, cleaner, and cost effective. |

| FINANCIAL IMPACT: | | Having this equipment, will cut down on the cost of using regular extinguishers. This equipment allows for quicker clean up and set up time allowing the department to train more people in less amount of time as well. |
