| BACKGROUND SUMMARY: | The Hartsville PD and Darlington County Sheriff's Office have previously had Mutual Aid Agreements. With the new Sheriff coming in, we need to update the agreement so it can continue. |

| IMPACT IF DENIED: | | If denied, the ability for our agencies to work together would be restricted. Law Enforcement activities would be limited and agencies may not be able to assist each other with natural and man made disasters, pursuits, civil disorder, locating lost or missing persons, special events, and other law enforcement and personal safety emergencies. |

| IMPACT IF APPROVED: | | The Mutual Aid each agency has enjoyed in the past would continue unabated. Our agencies have benefitted from Mutual Aid previously and would like to continue to be able to rely on each other for assistance when necessary. |
