ORDINANCE/RESOLUTION CAPTION:

APPROVAL TO APPLY FOR A 2017 DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE GRANT FOR THE PURCHASE OF BODY WORN CAMERAS FOR THE HARTSVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT.

BACKGROUND SUMMARY:

This resolution is approval to apply for a 2017 Department of Justice grant for Body Worn Cameras for the police department.

IMPACT IF DENIED:

Officers of our department will not be up to date on modern technologies that allow for better safety of the citizens that they serve as well as their safety.

IMPACT IF APPROVED:

Body worn cameras will be able to be purchased for the department in order to ensure safety of our officers and our citizens.
