ORDINANCE/RESOLUTION CAPTION: 

RESOLUTION: APPROVAL TO APPLY FOR A 2017 USDA COMMUNITY FACILITIES GRANT FOR THE CITY OF HARTSVILLE PUBLIC SERVICE DEPARTMENT.



BACKGROUND SUMMARY: 

The City of Hartsville Public Service Department has had funds approved for the purchase of a compact wheel loader. This piece of new equipment will allow Environmental Services to operate without interruptions to residential and commercial services. The City qualifies for a 15% reimbursement for up to $50,000 for this project. 



IMPACT IF DENIED: 

The Public Service Department will be unable to be reimbursed for this purchase and will not be able to put more funds towards other critical equipment purchases. 



IMPACT IF APPROVED: 

The Public Service Department will be eligible for reimbursement of this purchase and will be able to put awarded funds towards the purchase of other critical equipment.
