| | | | | | | | | REQUEST FOR COUNCIL AGENDA The City of Hartsville | Agenda Date: 7/10/2018 | To: City Council | From: City Manager |
Ordinance Number: Resolution Number: 07-18-01 - REGULAR MEETING | | | |
| | | | | | | |
ORDINANCE/RESOLUTION CAPTION: | Mutual Aid Agreement between Bishopville PD and Hartsville PD update. |
| | | |
| | | | | | | |
BACKGROUND SUMMARY: | With the selection of a new Chief of Police, our old Mutual Aid Agreement with Darlington PD is no longer valid. In order to continue to assist each other in times of crisis, the departments need an updated MAA with current names of Chiefs of Police. |
| | | |
| | | | | | | |
IMPACT IF DENIED: | Negligible unless a crisis occurs requiring us to ask for aid from outside sources. In the event of a natural disaster or mass casualty event, failure to have the ability to ask for outside aid could be detrimental to our citizenry. |
| | | |
| | | | | | | |
IMPACT IF APPROVED: | None, unless a disaster or mass casualty event occurs. The expense in those cases would be overtime and equipment use, and perhaps workman's compensation if an injury occurs. |
| | | |
| | | | | | | |
FINANCIAL IMPACT: | None unless activation of the Agreement becomes necessary (see impact above). Negligible during normal operations, the type of event will dictate the expense. |
