| ORDINANCE/RESOLUTION CAPTION: | APPROVAL OF BID AWARD FOR UTILITY RELOCATIONS FOR CAROLINA TRAFFIC CIRCLE.

| BACKGROUND SUMMARY: | SCDOT is scheduled to commence construction on a traffic circle on Carolina Ave while will required relocation of our water lines. It has been determined from our Engineer and the Public Services Director that the sewer lines should also be relocated at the same time. |

| IMPACT IF DENIED: | | As stated water lines have to be relocate. If sewer lines are not relocated, there is a great possibility that the future costs will, at a minimum, be doubled due to cutting and repair of the new traffic circle. |

| IMPACT IF APPROVED: | | The water and sewer lines located below the traffic circle should not require any modifications in the next 10 to 20 years at a minimum. |

| FINANCIAL IMPACT: | Funds will be taken from the Water/Sewer contingency fund to pay for the relocation. |
