ORDINANCE/RESOLUTION CAPTION:

RESOLUTION: APPROVAL OF BID AWARD FOR WAYFINDING SIGNAGE FOR THE CITY OF HARTSVILLE.

BACKGROUND SUMMARY:

After an extensive bid process, ACSM was awarded the bid project of updating wayfinding signage for the City of Hartsville. City staff has been working with the company on the design and locations of these signs. An amount has been given for the project of $172,000. The City has also sought out and was awarded grant funds from the Byerly Foundation for this project in the amount of $9,500. The budget breakdown for this project is as follows:

wayfinding signs, approx. $3,800 ea.

gateways, approx. $11,000 ea.

kiosks, approx. $1,200 ea.

parking signs, approx. $1,200 ea.

IMPACT IF DENIED:

The City of Hartsville will not be able to fulfill the bidded project and update wayfinding signage throughout the city in which most do not direct visitors the correct direction.

IMPACT IF APPROVED:

The City of Hartsville will have a updated look to its wayfinding signage that matches the new branding and highlight new tourism attractions in our city.
