ORDINANCE/RESOLUTION CAPTION: 


BACKGROUND SUMMARY: 
This Resolution lists three additional Main Street events to be included in the waiving of Business License fees in addition to the now existing Farmers Market.  This resolution is needed since Main Street is under the city now and to help streamline the permitting process so that vendors are not being charged twice. 


IMPACT IF DENIED: 
Each vendor would still be required to obtain both a vendor permit and business license permit to participate in Main Street events other than the Farmers Market. 


IMPACT IF APPROVED: 
The vendor process for participating in Main Street events will become easier and this will help spur vendor participation.


FINANCIAL IMPACT: 
An increase in Main Street permitting events should occur to help offset a decrease in business license revenue.  Vendors participating in multiple events would have the option of obtaining a business license and would still pay a reduced Main Street permit fee.
