| BACKGROUND SUMMARY: | | This resolution was originally submitted and approved by Council on December 11, 2018. Since this time, the grant has been awarded and the SC Department of Commerce, Grants Administration, requires that the total local match amount be stated in the resolution. At the time of the original resolution, we did not know the total match amount needed. This match amount is accounted for in the city's 2019/2020 Budget. |

| IMPACT IF DENIED: | | If denied, the $750,000 CDBG grant would be rescinded. The city would then need to find the additional funds to make the necessary improvements. |

| IMPACT IF APPROVED: | | If approved, the city will move forward with making the necessary sewer improvements in the South Hartsville area. |
