| BACKGROUND SUMMARY: | | The city has utilized funding from SCDPS / Highway Safety to help ensure that DUI activities have been undertaken the last three years by funding our DUI Officer. The city's existing grant ends Sept. 30, 2020. |

| IMPACT IF DENIED: | | The city would be responsible for 100% of the DUI Officer's salary. |

| IMPACT IF APPROVED: | | The city will make application to the SCDPS to aid in funding DUI activities for the period October 1, 2020 - September 30, 2021. |
