| ORDINANCE/RESOLUTION CAPTION: | | Approval to Apply for a SC Aeronautics Grant |

| BACKGROUND SUMMARY: | | The city has an opportunity to apply for an SCAC grant that will enable us to fund several items that were in the original terminal construction contract but that had to be removed to reduce costs. These items consist of earthwork, fencing, landscaping, paving upgrade, signage and security cameras. This grant gives us the opportunity to provide these required appurtenances to our first class terminal. |

| IMPACT IF DENIED: | | If this resolution is denied, we will have a new airport terminal with substandard paving, no security or signage, and fencing that is not adequate. |

| IMPACT IF APPROVED: | | If approved, this grant will provide for 60% of the funding needed for items such as security cameras, fencing, paving upgrade that will withstand fuel trucks, signage, landscape and earthwork. |

| FINANCIAL IMPACT: | | This grant enables the city to be within the original scope of the construction budget with the 40% required match. |
